Sam came out, what could have been lost was everything — the career, the safety, the carefully built image. Instead, they chose truth, uncertainty, vulnerability but stood firm. The self acceptance lead to public acceptance was not too gently or kind. Yet, they perceived trembling with an infectious smile now carried on.
